Trip Summary
We are pleased to offer ‘XC Nepal’ for the discerning MTB enthusiast, a 14-day trail-blazing tour of Nepal. We pass through dramatic scenery on a triangular journey through this magical country. It is a top-rate circuit of Nepal which has been pioneered after extensive two wheel exploration.

Description
Starting in Kathmandu, we explore this fascinating hub of culture and its medieval market squares, narrow lanes and hundreds of ancient Buddhist and Hindu temples. It is impossible not to be charmed by the atmosphere and hustle and bustle of this great city at the foot of the tallest mountains in the world. We head east to Nagarkot, an outstanding viewpoint on the valley rim, where we will be afforded memorable sunset views of the Himalayan chain from our hotel. On the final day of our Kathmandu valley tour, we have a long sweeping downhill back to the city centre via the ancient and charming city of Bhaktapur.

The next leg of our journey takes us to one of Asia’s premium wildlife reserves. The wild and mysterious Chitwan National Park is home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, the one-horned rhino and many other fascinating species. Over the next three days, we explore the jungle on two wheels and by foot, and in the evenings we relax in beautiful surroundings as the sun sets over Nepal's southern plains.

We then head nortwest to Pokhara where we will ride some of the most exciting downhill terrain in the Himalayas. We have pioneered a huge number of routes in this area, some of which are technical and demanding - others less so but offering sweeping views of the mountains. We then fly into the heart of the majestic Annapurna range and spend 4 days tumbling down through breathtaking scenery, ancient cultures and charming villages. Life in these mountain villages has changed little over the centuries, and we will experience a kaleidoscope of colours, sights and smells as we descend down the Kali Gandaki - from the barren environment of the Himalayan rain shadow into the lush lowlands of the Pokhara valley.

The tour concludes with your transfer back to Kathmandu, and a final evening in this great city before departing the following day.
