Summary
For 9 years we have been exploring the Himalayas, searching for the mother of all adventures. We think we have found it in Nepal, in a unique and uplifting experience flying with eagles in the foothills of the Annapurna range.
Description
Paragliding in the Himalayas, particularly when flying cross-country, is an extraordinary experience. Not for the feint-hearted, this thrilling sport takes us up into the clouds and face to face with nature’s forces in and around the Pokhara valley.
You fly ‘tandem’ with an experienced internationally qualified pilot. Both of you have separate harnesses, and are attached to each other and the wing. Once launched the passenger just sits back, relaxes and takes in the amazing views. You will soon have your camera in hand, we guarantee it.
There are three paragliding experiences to choose from
Tal View Price: £35 |
You fly early in the morning or late afternoon in a 15-minute flight in smooth air that gives you a tantalising taste of the sport. Launching at Sarankot, and landing Lakeside, this is a great way to finish off your holiday. |
Cloud-buster Price: £50 |
Launching at midday, this flight gives you the thrill of high flight as you use nature’s forces to climb up above Sarankot in the company of eagles and vultures and explore the surrounding valley. Flying time 30-40min. |
Cross-country Price: £80 |
This offers you the chance to experience flying from one valley to another. Using thermals, clouds and birds as guides, you are taken on an unforgettable journey north of Pokhara towards the big mountains. Your pilot flies as long as he can sustain height and the aim is to return to Pokhara that afternoon. Who knows where this adventure will take you… |
Tandem Parahawking Price: £50 |
