WHITE WATER ADVENTURES IN NEPAL

Some of the finest white-water rafting and kayaking in the world can be found in Nepal. From gentle odysseys through untouched wilderness to raging rapids with names like 'washing machine' and 'jaws' there is a rafting trip for everyone in the Kingdom.

White water can be experienced as a short 2 day excursion, or in the style of an expedition where we walk in for two days and then paddle a distance of 150km or more overa period of two weeks. World class rivers such as the Karnali and the Sun Kosi provide a roller coaster ride though deep forested canyons and under towering facades of rock. As the gradient of the rivers ease on their way to the plains of India, the topography softens. The verdant jungle of the lowlands takes hold, and an array of wildlife is seen. We camp on beautiful beaches and perhaps fish for some dinner. In many cases, you will drift into one of the National Parks lining the southern border of Nepal, and finish off your trip with a wildlife safari.

Rafting Nepal's rivers is a truly rewarding way of seeing the country and meeting its people. Some of the rivers are rarely run, so it is a real buzz to feel that you are one of only a handful of people who might raft that river this year.

If you are interested either in a short 2/3 day excursion, or would like to organise a rafting or kyak expedition to any of the rivers listed below, please email us on info@himalayanfrontiers.co.uk and we will be able to arrange a trip for you.
